The nine new players, most of whom are originally from Canada, arrived at the club around two months ago and are staying in rented furnished flats in various areas of the city.
Player-coach Douglas Christiansen, 31, said the club had received a "phenomenal response" from fans, with the appeal also yielding kitchen and cooking utensils, as well as bottle openers, scissors, a cork screw and Tupperware containers.
The appeal in the programme for Sunday night's home clash with Cardiff Devils, to whom Edinburgh Capitals lost 4-2, was titled 'Can you help please?'
It said the majority of the non Edinburgh-based players were "all trying to get settled into their new accommodation and get used to life in Edinburgh".

"Most of these guys don't have international cell phones and this is the kind of thing that we have really had success with."

Mr Christiansen, who underlined that the flats provided for the new players were of a high standard, said: "Whatever it might be, our fans have often just had these products lying around collecting dust.
